TI-Nspire & TI-Nspire Teacher Edition
When TI launched its new Math & Science Learning technology, TI-Nspire, I created a visual identity around its desktop and handheld software. The power of the TI-Nspire
platform lies in its multiple representations of mathematic and geometric objects, and the ability to author documents; something that is totally unique to TI-Nspire. The Nspire document format can be played and authored in desktop computer software, as well as the device. These TI-Nspire documents allow students to explore math concepts and see interactive links between symbolic and algebraic objects. The document can bring these lessons "to life". The visual identity communicates the document-based learning and interactivity at the center of the TI-Nspire product.
TI-Nspire CAS & TI-Nspire CAS Teacher Edition
The TI-Nspire platform consists of 2 math engines; one numeric, and one CAS (Computer Algebra System). Although the software is almost identical, the CAS engine can calculate expressions symbolically. (For example, CAS calculates 2*Π as 2Π whereas the numeric math engine would give you a numeric approximation (e.g., 6.28)) The visual identity needed to differentiate these 2 products, while still keeping them in the same family.
TI-Nspire Computer Link Software
TI-Nspire Computer Link software allows a teacher (or student) to transfer documents, take screenshots, and update the Operating System of their TI-Nspire handheld. Both the CAS and nonCAS products use the same document format (a *.tns file). The Computer Link software handles handles transferring these files to both versions of the handheld device. The visual identity needed to convey the document transfer capabilities, along with the compatibility between devices.
TI Connect-to-Class Software
TI-Nspire Connect-to-Class software allows a teacher to transfer documents and Operating Systems for a class set of TI-Nspire handhelds. Using a class roster, Connect-to-Class provides a way to send, collect, and delete assignments from the students, as well as baseline and configure classroom devices.
TI-SmartView Software for the TI-84 and TI-73
TI-SmartView is computer software used to by math educators to emulate TI-84 graphing handhelds, and aid in classroom instruction. Designed for use with Smartboards and/or data projectors, the teacher can conduct lessons and students can follow along keystroke-by-keystroke. TI-SmartView software also allows the teacher to display the 3 most fundamental views of the graphing calculator at once - the graphing, equation, and table screens. This can help illustrate how graph data correlates to its equation, and table of values. The 3 simultaneous views are referred to as "view cubed" - the software identity depicts this unique advantage of the product.
Global Cloud, Ltd.
Global Cloud, Ltd. is a full service, internet agency specializing in custom web applications and business solutions. While at Global Cloud, I designed and developed numerous websites while building a strong branding identity for the company in the local and regional market.
The DFW Interactive Marketing Association
Each year, the Dallas/Ft. Worth Marketing Association (DFWIMA) holds an awards show honoring Excellence in Interactive Marketing (EIMA's). I created an original identity that would be used in promotion of the show, and throughout its collateral materials.
